William Blake

William Blake seemed to deal a lot with nature throughout his poems. He also seemed to deal with things inside of nature such as people, senses, sounds, animals. It seems to me he does a lot of symbolisms to make the poems come to life. My favorite poem of his would have to be The Sick Rose. Which talks about a rose and how within that rose there is beauty and kindness yet, something evil and dark can come in and take away its beauty. That symbolism is that how one small thing such as a worm came in and made its house in this thing and destroyed the beautiful rose. Even though this poem is only eight lines long, which adds to its appeal, can still talk so loud is how life can be sometimes. I find it interesting that throughout this poem it tells me that is only as if one thing can come inside. It shows the biblical themes Blake shows very well at the heart of the poem. Blake also wrote poems such as Divine Image which once again goes into humanity. It tells about the human body and its response and how it deals with the world. Blake can write short poems which get to the point quickly which makes it easier for those who cannot grasp poetry as easily. I really feel balke speakinf to me. Also sorry about the spelling and stuff we haven’t got word up and running yet. Word Count: 248
